Siena è una delle città storiche meglio conservate della Toscana, è un gioiello medievale fatto di mattoni e pietre, con decine di palazzi gotici, chiese e piazze di incantevole bellezza. Ammirabile la cattedrale gotica "Il Duomo di Siena", per il famoso Palio di Siena (ippica) e per altri monumenti di grande valore storico. Dopo andremo a San Gimignano, un meraviglioso villaggio medievale collinare,circondato da mura e famoso per le 14 case-torri che dominano il panorama, viene soprannominata la Manhattan del Medioevo, visiteremo la sua cattedrale, una chiesa del XII secolo e piazza della Cisterna (di forma triangolare). Qui se produce la Vernaccia, uno dei migliori vini bianchi e la coltivazione dello zafferano.
